What's been your most memorable experience as a moderator?

That's a hard one. I can't really think of anything specific. I really enjoy it when I'm able to step back and let the users give each other advice and give each other support, it warms me, that's what this is all about.

Do you ever have any difficulty balancing TheSite.org's editorial line with your own personal beliefs, how do you deal with this?

No not really, everyone in the team is great.

What do you do other than moderating?

I take part in the askTheSite peer advisor project and I'm doing a postgraduate diploma in psychology at university.

If you had to be locked in a lift with another person who would it be and why?

My best mate Liz! I can tell her anything and she's the only one who can ease me in those kind of stressful situations.

If you could change peoples' opinions on one subject, what would it be and why?

This might seem random but safety. I have always been careful around me, watching my back, being careful with my belongings, and especially fastening a seatbelt. People don't realise how a seatbelt can change lives.

"I really enjoy it when I'm able to step back and let the users give each other advice and give each other support, it warms me, that's what this is all about."

Do you learn from the posters' experiences?

Definitely. Not only do I learn, but I remember feeling like some of the users when I was younger. It is easy to relate to people. Everybody has been through something similar.

If you could set up one new forum what would it be?

Umm...I've always struggled with identity and being from a different ethnic background is an important aspect of London, so I think a forum on this could help.

How does being a moderator fit with your career aims, if at all?

I am hoping to become a chartered psychologist so the experience is very relevant and very useful.

What's your favourite thread?

I've enjoyed so many threads, but I have to say a few that have been my favourites relate to asking how to act around a girl/boy, or how to ask for dates. I always enjoy reading the replys and people's suggestions for different dates. I enjoy the comparison of responses between the genders.

If I was... I'd be a... because....

If I was a cartoon I'd be Aladdin because he has a genie and a magic carpet!
