Passive problem?
Question
I've got a drug test for a new job coming up and although I don't smoke weed I do spend time with people who do. Will passive smoking make my test come up positive?
Answer
Drug tests are either done by getting a sample of urine or hair. The most common way is through urine. A lot of employers now perform pre-employment drug testing.
There is little evidence that passive smoking will produce a positive drug test although you should be aware that the smell of the drug will remain on your clothes and you may run the risk of being approached by a police sniffer dog.
