Backpacking

What kind of trip?

What sort of traveller are you? Read on to see which holiday would suit you best.

Package

You don't want the hassle of organisation, instead an all-inclusive holiday somewhere hot is all you care about. You want a pool, maybe a beach, a hotel room/villa, and an English-speaking bar crawl. You plan to sleep, drink and sunbathe the whole time, oh and maybe get some action with the local Adonis/Venus.

18-30

The idea of practising your blowjob technique on a banana lodged between a stranger's legs is your idea of a good time. Bikinis, lads and ladettes, drinking contests and acting like the cast of the more debauched episodes of reality holiday shows is your idea of bliss. You go with all your mates and wear matching t-shirts out saying something like 'Sussex slappers' or 'Skegness studs'. You like hangovers, sunburn and saucy holiday pics to embarrass you at a later date.

Backpacking

You want to find yourself/soak up some culture. You're less interested in comfort, seeking unique experiences and a chance to reassess your life. You're likely to bore your mates to death with many a story starting "When I was in India..." Blisters, sweat, insect bites and exhaustion are all part of the fun as you head off the beaten track and explore the real world. Likely to be fond of sarongs, sandals and smokin'.

Organising your own tripĀ

You like to be in control, you have loads of time on your hands or are just highly organised. You could be likened to Monica from Friends and plan whole itineraries for being away. Failing that you just like to be a bit different to the crowds without slumming it - backpacking sounds fun - if you remove the backpack and all that trekking. Likely to iron your underwear and arrange your food cupboard into alphabetical order.
